CHRISTIE, Agatha. TEN LITTLE NIGGERS. 1939
CHRISTIE, Agatha. TEN LITTLE NIGGERS. London: The Crime Club, [1939]. Small 8vo., cloth in dust jacket. First English Edition. Undoubtedly Christie's most politically-incorrect title by today's standards. The title was changed to "Ten Little Indians" when the book was published in America and the design of the dust jacket was also changed. The title was again changed to "And Then There Were None" for the 1945 movie version, which is probably the best film adaptation of any Christie novel. Very Good (minor soil covers); in an attrractive dust jacket that has some professional resotration, particularly to several former chips and to the spine ends. Enclosed in a custom-designed clam-shell box depicting a Negro baby on the front cover. An attractive copy of a scarce title..
