Very Good Condition Hardcover Set contains five volumes.
Volume One is entitled "Aristoteles Graece Volumen Prius" and is published in 1831. It has pencil markings to a few pages, and very old tape repair to some edges. The page edges are dark blue/black, and the spine and back board have some chipping.
Volume Two is entitled "Aristoteles Graece Volumen Alterum" and is published in 1831. It has very old tape repair to some edges. The page edges are dark blue/black, and the front and back boards have some chipping or scratches.
Volume Three is entitled "Aristoteles Latine Interpretibus Variis" and is published in 1831. It has a small bookseller bookplate to inside bottom corner of front board which reads "Thornton & Son, Booksellers, II The Broad, Oxford." The page edges are dark blue/black, and there is chipping along some edges. This volume contains a red silk ribbon, which has become detached and is very fragile, though is well preserved within the pages of the book.
Volume Four is entitled "Scholia in Aristotelem Collegit Christianus Augustus Brandis" and is published in 1836. It has a small bookseller bookplate to inside bottom corner of front board which reads "Thornton & Son, Booksellers, II The Broad, Oxford." The page facing the title page is filled with pencil writing, mostly in Greek, and relevant to the text. Page edges are reddish, and there is foxing to some pages. The embossed leather cover is best preserved in this volume, as there is a thin band of gilding running along the entire edge of front and back board. Much of decorative gilt pattern remains along edge of boards.
Volume Five is entitled "Aristotelis Opera Volumen Quintum. Aristotelis qui ferebantur librorum fragmenta. Scholiorum in Aristotelem Supplementum. Index Aristotelicus." and is published in 1870. It has mostly bright pages with occasional spotting, and red coloring to page edges. All edges have very old tape repair. Boards have a few sections of scraping.
