Introduction by Oscar Lewis. * This is the Limited Editions Club issue, it was printed by the celebrated Shimbi Shoin in Tokyo, and is bound Japanese style with stitched spine, and in a folding Chitsu cloth case with ivory clasps. * This edition has two lovely color woodcut prints illustrated by Yasumasu Fujita, one is a double-page-folding, the other a single page color print. Also contains 5 monotones and 14 black & white illustrations. The deckle edge paper of each page is nicely water marked "Kwaidan," in the lower corner, a special touch ! Beautifully printed, with a lovely colophon as the last page. * LIMITED NUMBERED EDITION OF 1500 ONLY COPIES, signed and cinnabar sealed with the artist's seal or Hanko chop. At the top of the colophon is also another chop of Lafcadio Hearn's Japanese name seal "Koizumi Yakumo."
