Emmanuel (1865-1948): "In reply to the invitation to become an original member of the ,Society of Graphic Art' which has just reached me, I have much pleasure in accepting, and will you kindly note my permanent address now, as given above [ ]". - Wood war während des Ersten Weltkrieges als Ballonbeobachter tätig und zeichnete für die Armee zahlreiche Skizzen. Nach Kriegsende wandte er sich verstärkt der Tierwelt zu und schuf unzählige humorvolle und detailreiche Tierzeichnungen, für die er im Londoner Zoo regelmäßig Studien betrieb; besondere Popularität erlangten seine Darstellungen von Polizisten, Dinosauriern und allerlei prähistorischen Figuren. - Auf Briefpapier mit gedr.
