Book on the history of one of America's transcontinental railroads, Great Northern, "Big G". The rail fans remember the huge "Goat" on sides of rolling stock, vermillion cabooses & the orange and green paint scheme that typified the streamline era. The railway ran through Wisconsin, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington and into parts of some of the other northern states.
