Cheung, Chan-Fai/Carr, David: Space, Time, and Culture, SPRINGER NETHERLANDS, ISBN: 1402028237
Interculturality has been one of key concepts in phenomenological literature. It seeks to clarify the philosophical basis for intercultural exchange within the horizon of our life-world. The essays in this volume focus on the themes around space, time and culture from the perspectives of Chinese and Western phenomenologists. Though the discussions begin with classical phenomenological texts in Husserl, Heidegger or Merleau-Ponty, they extend to the problems of Daoism and Buddhism, as well as to sociology and analytic philosophy. The collection of this volume is a fruitful result of inter-cultural exchange of phenomenology.

Abrams, Erika/Chvatic, Ivan: Jan Patocka and the Heritage of Phenomenology: Centenary Papers Centenary of Jan Patocka (1907-1977) SPRINGER NETHERLANDS, 110 ISBN: 9048191238
Whereas for the wider public Jan Patocka is known mainly as a defender of human rights and one of the first spokespersons of Charter 77, who died in Prague several days after long interrogations by secret police of the Communist regime, the international philosophical community sees in him an important and inspiring thinker, who in an original way elaborated the great impulses of European thought - mainly Husserl's phenomenology and Heidegger's philosophy of existence. Patocka also reflected on history and the future of humanity in a globalized world and laid the foundations of an original philosophy of history. His work is a subject of lively philosophical discussion especially in French and German-speaking countries, and recently also in Spanish-speaking, in U.S.A., and in the Far East.Scholars from around the world who are interested in the philosophy of Jan Patocka gathered in Prague to commemorate his centenary and the thirtieth anniversary of his death. The conference explored the significance of his work and its continuing influence on contemporary philosophy. The volume presents selected papers from the conference in English language.

Embree, Lester/Sepp, Hans R. Handbook of Phenomenological Aesthetics Contributions To Phenomenology 58, SPRINGER NETHERLANDS, 129 ISBN: 9048124700
The potentiality of phenomenological aesthetics is enormous, many figures have contributed to it during a time span of over a century, but this is the first work thoroughly to show its breadth, depth, and continuing fecundity. Moritz Geiger, Roman Ingarden, Fritz Kaufmann, Jean-Paul Sartre, Maurice Merleau-Ponty, and Mikel Dufrenne are the central figures and receive substantial treatment. A score of other influential individuals, including Antonio Banfi, Simone de Beauvoir, Oskar Becker, Jacques Derrida, Hans-Georg Gadamer, Martin Heidegger, Michel Henry, Dietrich von Hildebrand, Maurice Natanson, Nishida Kitaro, Jose Ortega y Gasset, Jan Patocka, Paul Ricoeur, Heinrich Rombach, Max Scheler, Alfred Schutz, Gustav Spet, and France Veber also have entries devoted to them. In addition, there are over two dozen entries on such topics such as dream, empathy, enjoyment, imagination, sensation, on style, ecology, gender, and interculturality, and then on areas including architecture, film, and theater. The introduction includes an extensive sketch of the history of phenomenological investigation in this sub-discipline of philosophy. All entries are written by the best relevant specialists, all the entries have bibliographies, and a selected bibliography for the whole is appended. This handbook will be the foundation for many more decades of investigation.
