Limited to 160 copies printed on American hand-made paper. (Johnson 13; Ransom no.12). Thompson (pp.161-163) describes this press as the "most important of the New York private presses." She sites Clarke Conwell, the owner, and his wife - designer, Helen Marguerite O'Kane, as one of the most brilliant of the Kelmscott disciples. This very plain book has no real title page, is printed in black and orange with small orange decorations in a very plain but elegant format. Very fine copy without the usual foxing which affects some of the Elston Press books. Bookplates of William Bixby and Warwick James Price.
