Anne Besant examines problems of Ethics, Sociology, Religion and Some Difficulties of the Inner Life. - Annie Besant (1847-1933) was one of the leading persons in the Theosophical Society. After the death of Helena Blavatsky she worked together with Charles Webster Leadbeater, and they published a couple of books. In 1907 she beacame president of the Theosophical Society. Her and Leadbeater's descision that Krishnamurti is the coming Messias, was not accepted by many members (specially Rudolf Steiner), therefore the movement broke in two. - Cover slightly knocked, a good copy.
