94pp inc index and many colour and some b&w photos - The illustration on the front board is very descriptive of the book and the era in which it was produced. This is Patten's collection of recipes for the stay-at-home mother to prepare for her 2 young kids and her "hubby" (as they were fond of saying back then, in the USA at least). We have one of the largest inventories of Patten's books on the Net. Laminated covers (picture of mom serving up something (a bowl of hot cereal ? to her husband and two children) are a bit soiled with lightly bumped corners. Title page (can't tell if there should be an FEP or whether it was removed) has long (5 inches) closed tear adjacent to the spine from the bottom and a couple of small creases at the bottom of that tear. Textblock is lightly tanned with age. Two signatures in the centre of the book protrude slightly from the rest where they appear to have been reattached to the book using (a now discoloured) tape which doesn't affect the text or pix at all. The top edges of the boards have been bumped and there are general handling and cooking marks to the page edges. Tape marks on the end pages, and on the fold over flaps, small tear on the rear fold over flap from removal of sticky tape, rubbing to the edges of the dust jacket with chipping at the corners and head and tail of the back strip.
