Scrapbook portfolio, 30 x 40cm/ 12 x 16ins, Theatre 1948 - 49 - containing 67 programmes from London theatres, listed alphabetically at the front. Plays of all kinds, musicals, variety shows. Some are glued to the page, others attached on the stamp-hinge principal by the back left hand edge. Original price stickers, adverts. Most have dates on, and most are in very good condition. The portfolio consists of loose sheets inside cardboard covers, which originally had a tape spine which is no longer present. Also has 9 large and a number of small pictures, newspaper & magazine cuttings, of people and scenes relating to the productions in the programmes. Fascinating record of one season in a wonderful period of London theatre. Full of great names of British theatre, some in minor roles at the start of their career.
