STOUT, REX: THE DOORBELL RANG, New York: Viking, 1965. A very good copy in a very good dustwrapper. The book shows small stains on the upper page edge and some light foxing throughout the page edge. There are a few tiny spots of foxing on the page edges. The dustwrapper is worn and chipped along the extremities, shows a round coffee mug stain on the front panel, and there is evidence of dampstaining along the lower extremities. The Doorbell Rang begins with "a private citizen who thinks the FBI is getting too big for its britches." She hires Rex Stout to take them on.
