Earlier editions had a forward by Steinbeck - but this one does not - although it mentions the Stenbeck forward. There is also no color frontis plate - may have been removed or was never there in the first place. This 4th edtion is somewhat scarce and I can't tell what the issue points are. It is 614 pages and is complete - unless it had a color frontis picture. Ex-Library w/marks Dj Hardback 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
