Introduction by Gilbert E. Chittenden. 4to; original light brown boards; pp. 16, + 23 plates. Spine a little sunned, and worn at extremities; gift inscription to front free endpaper. Very good condition. Best known as the author and illustrator of the fantasy work 'The Ship That Sailed to Mars', William Timlin spent much of his life in South Africa. These topographical and architectural sketches depict some of the highlights of the Union of South Africa.
