220 pages, many b/w illustrations (all clean and present). Top corners bumped, spine ends a little rubbed. Inscription on half-title page: "With loving and affectionate wishes for all times. Joycey. London Feb. 22nd 1929." Also includes several newspaper clippings as well as typed extracts from newspaper articles and a book review of this book. All from the time of publication of this book. Clippings are from newspapers in Australia, England, New Zealand and Newfoundland. They were at some time attached to the front endpaper with a pin leaving a few holes and small rust marks. Account of the depot-laying journeys of the members of the Ross Sea party of Sir Ernest Shackleton's Antarctic expedition of 1914-17.
