th birthday anniversary of Francis Scott Fitzgerald, American short-story writer and novelist, whose works are reminiscent of the Jazz Age. Fitzgerald's fiction did more than simply describe his times, or himself as an archetypal representative, for he was at once immersed in his times and able to view them and himself with remarkable objectivity. This rare ability and his rhetorical brilliance, has established Fitzgerald as one of the major novelists and storywriters of the 20th century. To commemorate F.
